Saint Lu is part of the Berlinale Filmfest with movie "vierzehn"

Saint Lu will be part of this year's Berlinale Filmfest. The occasion is a documentary titled "vierzehn" (Fourteen), directed by German filmmaker Cornelia Grünberg.

"Sounds kinda corny, but it does feel like a miracle when all those people with all those influences suddenly start creating a whole new thing. In a way better than one could've ever planned it."

After a year that was filled with many journeys and even more impressions, Saint Lu now completed the songwriting process for her new album. Time to lock herself in at the studio alongside Patrik Majer (Wir sind Helden) to record and produce the new album.

Saint Lu in new ATV2 campaign

With ATV2, Austrias biggest private television program is enhancing its variety since this year's December. Part of of that endeavor is a countrywide TV campaign starring none other than Saint Lu.

Being completely herself, Lu presents herself dancing, singing and laughing. Also, she is giving us a first listen of her new song, "Don't You Know My Name", from the upcoming album.

Saint Lu is currently in the recording studio in Berlin, diligently recording songs for her second album that is due for 2012. She works in the same studio that has been previously shaped the records of the likes of Nick Cave and German band Wir Sind Helden to big successes.

Starting tomorrow: Lu for 10 gigs in Switzerland

Starting tomorrow (25th of Oct), Saint Lu will be playing ten concerts in Switzerland. The gigs are part of the SEAT Music Session 2011, which means that besides Lu, there will be further performances by fellow musicians. Among the artists listed for the event are Alain Clark (NL), Avery Sunshine (USA), Johannes Oerding (D), Myron (CH), Tweek, and Special Guest Geneva.

Exciting and productive weeks in Los Angeles

It's been an exciting, fulfilling and fruitful couple of weeks away from Berlin: Saint Lu was in Los Angeles since end of July in order to work on new music.

EBBA Awards 2011: Saint Lu Artist Clip

"Good voice, the looks, aura, talent"- a radio host from Austrian station Ö3 puts it quite accurately when characterizing Saint Lu in the EBBA Awards Artist Clip. He goes on: "She's making her own way, she's authentic, and she has one the most beautiful laughters I've ever heard. Yes, we are in love with Saint Lu!"

As previously reported, Saint Lu is among the twelve winners of a 2011 EBBA Award. EBBA is short for "European Border Breakers Awards". The prize honors artists who succeeded in winnning over people's hearts and selling their debut album and singles abroad. The EBBA has been brought into being by the EU. The winners are determined by European radio playlists and Billboard Charts listings, as well as festival appearances in Europe.

Win of an 2011 EBBA Award

Great News: Saint Lu is among the ten winners of the EBBA Award 2011. EBBA is short for "European Border Breaker Awards" and rewards artists who were successful in breaking European borders with their music this year (August 2009/August 2010). The EBBA Award 2011 is issued by the European Commission. The presentation of the awards will take place on the 12th of January in Groningen, Holland on the occasion of the Eurosonic-Noorderslag (The European Music Conference and Showcase Festival).

What a (festival) summer!

Slowly but surely, summer is undoubtedly coming to its end. Leaves are falling, and so are the temperatures – time for Saint Lu to look back on what has been a great festival season. The singer did a lot of travelling this summer in order to rock festivals with her album „Saint Lu“. Among the festivals she played were the Donauinselfest in Vienna, the Heitere Open Air, the Kronefest, the SWR Seefest in Stuttgart, and the Ulmer Zelt Festival.
